Bayern Munich exclusive documentary releasing on Amazon Prime Video

On November 2nd, the world will get to look into life at Bayern Munich. On that day, Amazon Prime Video will release the documentary “FC Bayern — Behind the Legend”. In this documentary, the history, present, and future of the Bavarian giants are showcased like never before.

Amazon will be releasing six episodes which will all be available on the streaming service in November. This documentary gives fans exclusive insights behind the scenes as the camera team has been following the team since summer 2020, since the treble win. The film crew got exclusive access to team meetings, negotiations in the board of directors, executive meetings, fan meetings, as well as emotional moments on the field.

The documentary is certain to be packed with some great content considering the film crew had access to over 2,000 hours of material after hundreds of days of filming and shooting at over 25 different locations. They also had footage of almost 150 interviews. Fans don’t only get to feel present at the crucial moments of the 2020/2021 season, but they get to see the club in a more personal fashion than ever before.

After Bayern’s most successful year, fans get insight into how the club is facing new challenges such as COVID-19 and drastic personnel changes with the departures of several club veterans and the transition as Oliver Kahn became the new CEO and Julian Nagelsmann taking Hansi Flick’s spot as manager.
