Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski was presented with the Golden Shoe on Tuesday at the Allianz Arena. The ceremony involved a small number of people, including the player’s family, his current coach Julian Nagelsmann and the members of the Bavarian front office.

Lewandowski was asked a few questions regarding his future and the rumors that have been linking him to La Liga giants Real Madrid since forever. The striker emphasized that his priority, at the moment, is definitely to stay and win more of everything with the Bundesliga champions.

He commented, “Of course, Florentino Pérez and I saw each other on a few occasions, one of which was after a game against Real Madrid. I can’t tell you what happened during this conversation.”

“I don’t have to prove myself in another league. In the Champions League, I can compete with the best from other leagues. [At the moment] I am 100 percent focused on Bayern Munich, I don’t think about anything other than my team,” added Lewandowski.

What’s more beautiful than watching Lewandowski hold the award with that ever so charming smile on his face? Hearing him say how much he wants to stay at Bayern, perhaps?

Congratulations, Lewy! Here’s to more awards and records!
