It’s been all downhill for James Rodriguez this season.

Former Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez has found his career to be in limbo for years now, but especially since Carlo Ancelotti left Everton for Real Madrid.

For the Colombian star, a stop in Qatar could be up next (as captured by Sport1):

Since his sponsor Carlo Ancelotti left Everton for Real Madrid, James Rodriguez has not felt comfortable. A corona infection and its consequences also bothered the ex-Bavarians this summer. Under coach Rafa Benitez, James is still out of action in the current Premier League season.

According to the reputable English newspaper, The Times, the Colombian is currently in Qatar to negotiate an immediate move. The transfer window will not close until September 30th there.

Things could happen fast for Rodriguez, who was also recently rumored to be of interest to FC Porto:

It has been speculated that the Colombian would leave Everton on a loan on to Qatari side Al-Rayyan SC and not an outright sale.

Whatever happens, Rodriguez’s career has endured quite a slide. This certainly won’t help those rumors that Rodriguez is extremely difficult to work with.
