Jamie Lawrence scored in the 6th minute of stoppage time to rescue a point for Bayern Munich II as they drew 2-2 with TSV Buchbach.

“After conceding two goals, we found it difficult to create chances. But in the end we luckily drew 2-2,” Martin Demichelis said after the match. “We have a young team, so it is not always easy when the fans put so much pressure on.”

Match Highlights

Malik Tillman grabbed his first goal of the season in the 44th minute after he was played in behind the backline by Oliver Batista Meier with an absurd outside of the foot pass. Tillman beat the Buchbach goalkeeper to the ball and looped it into the back of the net to give Bayern II the lead just before halftime.

Bayern II pushed for a second goal, but Buchbach snagged two in two minutes through Moritz Sassmann (68’) and Alexandro Petrovic (70’). Just as it looked like Buchbach were going to take all three points, Lawrence towered over everyone — which, to be fair, isn’t that hard for him — and scored the equalizer in the 90+6’.

Squad

There were three changes to the squad in this match with Bright Arrey-Mbi, Tillman, and Emilian Metu coming in for Nico Feldhahn, Nemanja Motika, and Torben Rhein.

Christian Früchtl was back in goal for Bayern II, and it would be shocking to see him lose that starting spot for the remainder of the year barring injury.

Bayern XI: Früchtl - Booth, Lawrence, Arrey-Mbi, Brückner (83. Sieb) - Aydin (57. Motika) - Metu (72. Copado), Vidović, Kern, Batista-Meier, Tillman

Table and Next Match

Bayern II are back on top of the table with 27 points thanks to their huge goal differential; however, they’re level on points with SpVgg Bayreuth who now have a game in hand.

Their next match is on Saturday, September 25 against TSV Rain am Lech.
