In an extensive interview with Sport1, Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder and Gerrmany international Jonas Hofmann spoke about the interest he received from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.
“I think it’s completely legitimate to look around for possible moves in your professional life. Of course I think about it when FC Bayern shows interest in me. But that doesn’t affect my performances on the pitch,” Hofmann told Sport1’s Patrick Berger and Florian Plettenberg. “My relationship with Julian Nagelsmann is good. We have known each other for 15 years, because I was in Hoffenheim since I was a youth player. The contact between us has never been broken.”
As for what it all means, Hofmann said it is an honor that he is so thought so highly of.
“I think it’s a confirmation of my work when I am linked with big clubs. It’s an honor and it makes me proud. Of course, I listen to and then carefully weigh up what would speak for and against a move,” Hofmann said.
