Leroy Sané’s form continues to improve this season. Bayern Munich sports director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic commented on the German winger and gave his thoughts on why he will never be like Joshua Kimmich.
During the international break, Sané picked up a goal against Liechtenstein and a goal and assist against Iceland. These World Cup qualifiers surely did wonders for the winger’s self-confidence with the German national team.
An assist AND a goal for @leroy_sane tonight.

Sané was booed by Bayern fans just weeks ago, but convinced over long stretches for Die Mannschaft. He also scored against RB Leipzig after returning from the World Cup qualifiers to keep the form alive. It is clear that Sané is focused on improvement and is determined to bring consistent performances for Bayern. The Bayern bosses are demanding a lot more from him.
“Leroy reflects a lot. He is also not satisfied with how many games went. He showed his class, but he and of course we want him to be a leading player at Bayern,” Brazzo stated on Sky90 (as captured by Abendzeitung).
Sané should be a deciding player in games but also show the proper body language on the field. “He will never be a Kimmich. He is different, just because of his demeanor.” Brazzo said referencing the leadership of Joshua Kimmich and his attitude and body language.
Brazzo is convinced that Nagelsmann will make Sané stronger and stronger. It is clear that Brazzo and the rest of Bayern bosses are in full support of Leroy Sané’s growth. Leroy Sané may not be a leader quite yet, but that will come with confidence. Right now, Sané is getting better and better and that is what matters. The confidence and leadership will come with time, but for now, all that matters is that he is heading in the right direction.
