Bayern Munich recently inked Joshua Kimmich to a new deal and one of the big reasons that the midfielder felt so comfortable in making a commitment to the club was because of Julian Nagelsmann’s vision for the squad.

“First of all, I found it impressive, even from a distance, how he develops a team and how many players he’s turned into internationals. He’s signed a five-year contract, which was a strong sign because continuity is always an advantage for growing together and building something,” said Kimmich to FCBayern.com. “I’m convinced that long-term development can happen here with Julian. He takes an enormous amount of time for each individual to convey his idea of football.”

Kimmich and Nagelsmann figure to have a long and fruitful relationship. Nagelmann’s communication and ability to connect with players surely has played a role in Kimmich’s comfort level.

With Leon Goretzka also rumored to be close to inking his name to a new contract, things are definitely headed in the right direction in Bavaria.
