When Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona last met, things did not work out so well for the La Liga side.
Despite that, FC Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets is “excited” for another chance to face-off with the Bavarians.
“We are very eager and excited to start the competition. It is a difficult group and it would be important to get a good result in the first game. Bayern is a team that dominates all facets of the game and we hope to be at our level tomorrow,” Busquets said (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “They have a new coach and he will try to play his own way. They kept their team, except for players like Thiago. They will surely try to win. What happened was difficult to accept, but that’s football. Tomorrow’s game will be different.”
There will be certainly be a different look and feel to this match. Lionel Messi and Hansi Flick will not be there, but it should be quite the match anyway.
