Bayern linked to Olmo again (Sport1)

Could Bayern Munich be looking to bring in someone else from RB Leipzig? Per reports out of Spain, the Bavarians are keeping close tabs on Dani Olmo:

FC Barcelona is said to have been digging for Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig for some time. Now FC Bayern Munich is also mentioned in connection with the Spaniard.

According to the Marca, the German record champions could compete with the Catalans in advertising for Olmo. In addition, Manchester United and Juventus Turin are said to be interested in the 23-year-old.

Leipzig should meanwhile be ready to agree to a sale of Olmo in the event of a corresponding transfer. According to the report, Barcelona definitely want to try again - either in winter or next summer. There is speculation about a Barca offer of 70 million euros.

Whether the Spanish club can raise such a high amount remains to be seen. An attempt by Munich would also come as a surprise, as the offensive midfield at Bayern is top.

Atletico Madrid wants Gosens (Sport Bild)

Atletico Madrid is rumored to want Germany international Robin Gosens pretty badly:

The Italian media reports that Atlético Madrid is apparently interested in Robin Gosens (27)!

In the past the “Rojiblancos” were said to have the DFB defender in focus. In conversation for the professional from Atalanta Bergamo is a transfer fee of 40 million euros! Since the Spaniards supposedly don’t want to invest that much money in Gosens, there should be an exchange deal. Left-back Renan Lodi (23) should be offset against a possible Gosens transfer!

Davies has fun with FIFA ratings (Instagram — alphonsodavies)

Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies had some fun with his FIFA ratings:

Pep to bring Modric to England? (Sport1)

Could Pep Guardiola be looking to grab Real Madrid star Luka Modric on a free transfer next summer? Maybe:

Manchester City are said to be interested in signing Real Madrid’s Luka Modric.

As reported by the Venezuelan daily El Nacional, coach Pep Guardiola is said to be a big fan of the Croatian.

The former world footballer’s contract with Los Blancos runs until next summer. If Modric does not extend, Manchester City wants to bring the Croatian runner-up to the island for free.

ICYMI: Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Barcelona vs Bayern Munich (Bavarian Football Works)

Having just won a grueling game against RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich immediately travel to Spain to kick off their Champions League campaign against Barcelona. This is a very different Barca side from the one Bayern beat 8-2 last year. Leo Messi and Luis Suarez are no longer on the team, replaced by Memphis Depay and Luuk de Dong (more on him later).

Here are our talking point ahead of the game:

  • A basic rundown of Barcelona for a La Liga novice.
  • How Koeman may line up his team in a 3-5-2 including which Barca players are fit/injured.
  • Pros and cons of the 3-5-2.
  • Discussing the threat of Memphis Depay.
  • What a Barcelona team with a 4-2-3-1 can look like.
  • How injuries could derail Bayern in this crucial game at the start of the season.
  • Samrin exposing her opinions by saying Luuk de Jong is Barca’s most dangerous player (what???).
  • A more sane pick for Barca’s potential dangerman.

PSG wants Rüdiger (Sport1)

Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly getting serious about a run for Chelsea FC defender Antonio Rüdiger:

Since Thomas Tuchel moved to Chelsea, Antonio Rüdiger has become an integral part of the starting line-up of the Blues. The German central defender celebrated the Champions League triumph against Manchester City and is one of the undisputed players under the German coach in the new season.

However, it is far from certain whether Tuchel will train the German national player in the coming season, because Rüdiger’s contract expires next summer. In addition, the 28-year-old also seems to be sought after by other top clubs: As the French newspaper le10Sport reports, Paris Saint-Germain has now also cast an eye on Rüdiger. There have been rumors for some time that Real Madrid are looking to bring the defender in next year.
