While Bayern Munich had to do without Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso against RB Leipzig, the club has a injury recovery plan for the two French stars to get them back on the field and, hopefully, stay on the field.

The club’s plan is to manage minutes sharply as they come back to the field in order to build a solid base for the two players to avoid re-aggravating their respective calf injuries.

Coman is further along in his recovery and could very well make his return to the field against Barcelona on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League. It will depend on how Coman is feeling come Monday when the team departs for Spain, as Coman was reach for his injured calf at the end of Friday’s training session.

Tolisso, however, is going to take a bit longer to reach full fitness. You’ll remember that Tolisso was one of the many players given an extended summer break due to the European Championship, and then when he was set to return to Munich to begin training, he tested positive for COVID and missed a couple extra weeks. Now, he picked up this calf injury while on international duty with France.

With the crazy busy schedule of international games this season in addition to the huge number of games that Bayern will play, Julian Nagelsmann and company have their hands full in keeping these players on the field.
