Bayern Munich won and won in style against Red Bull Leipzig, beating them convincingly by a 1-4 scoreline. The victory was impressive for a variety of reasons, particularly who the opponents were; while Leipzig has not started the season particularly well, they still were the offensively better side in all their games, missing only the end product — that was not the case today and with better finishing from Robert Lewandowski of all people, Bayern could have scored more.

For Leipzig, things are not coming together too smoothly under Jesse Marsch; his star striker, André Silva has not quite connected with the team yet and new signings such as Dominik Szoboszlai are settling in themselves.
