In a formal announcement on the club website, Bayern Munich revealed that it had finalized the signing of Croatian sensation Lovro Zvonarek:

The Croatian talent Lovro Zvonarek (8 May 2005) comes from the first division club Slaven Belupo to the German record champions. The 16-year-old attacking midfielder completed the medical check in Munich on Thursday and signed a long-term contract.

The Bavarians were ecstatic to land such a good, young player.

“Lovro was with us on campus for a trial training session in the spring. We have not only been convinced of his great development potential since these days and are very pleased that he has decided to move to FC Bayern,” said campus director Jochen Sauer.

Zvonarek is also happy to have inked his new deal.

“FC Bayern is one of the largest and most successful clubs in the world. To play here in the future and to be able to wear this shirt makes me proud. And it also encourages me to work hard on myself every day,” says Zvonarek.
