Frank Ribery was recently wearing the Bayern Munich shirt again in a charity game and recently trained at the Sabener Strasse. And according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, this could be a sign of things to come as the club ponder a sensational transfer for one of Munich’s favorite ever sons.

The report states there are currently no negotiations, but as the transfer window deadline draws nearer, this transfer is not impossible. However, it is mentioned that Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic is against the transfer.

BFW analysis

What a glorious signing this would be. Glorious. Ribery has one thing useful in any Bayern team...the DNA of the club runs through his veins. Furthermore, his mentality and need to win rivals that of Thomas Muller and Joshua Kimmich. Not to forget, Ribery tore things up even at his age in the Serie A. Simply put, he would definitely provide quality depth and also a leadership presence in the dressing room.

While his best pal David Alaba is no longer at the club, it seems clear that Ribery would fancy a move back to Bavaria. Now, it is time for Bayern’s front office to bring a club legend back.
