Per a report from The Independent (as captured Leicestershire Live), Leicester City is looking at Bayern Munich center-back and USMNT defender Chris Richards:
Leicester City have been linked with Bayern Munich’s USA international Chris Richards as they look to quickly get a centre-back through the door. City are on the hunt for a new centre-half with Wesley Fofana suffering a broken leg this week, and with Jonny Evans out until at least September with a persistent foot problem.
Manager Brendan Rodgers had said that a “small group” of targets had been identified as City looked to get a player in before the deadline at the end of the month, but preferably earlier with the Premier League season now just over a week away.
It is believed that Leicester City is eyeing a loan deal for Richards. Hoffenheim is still considered the frontrunner should Richards leave Bayern Munch (via loan or sale) given his strong connection to Sebastian Hoeneß.
Stay tuned...
