Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich has become renowned for his intensity during games, training, or wherever there is competition.
If anyone thought it might take Bayern Munich’s resident “Mentality Monster” some time get into midseason form with his training banter, well, you would be disappointed.
Per a report from Süddeutsche Zeitung, Kimmich put Bayern Munich youngster Josip Stanisic in his crosshairs during a drill:
Anyone who had the absurd thought that Joshua Kimmich might still be a little in the holiday mood saw the opposite at the first opportunity. It was only his third team training after the summer break after the European Championship, it was also a public session in the Munich arena as a season opening ceremony for the fans of FC Bayern.
But Kimmich has probably never taken it easy on a football pitch in his life. And so you heard on Wednesday over the outside microphones of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation how he reprimanded defender Josip Stanisic, 21, during an exercise: “Come on in, dude! I’m going to freak out here, man. You’re three meters out of bounds!”
It’s good to see that his rumored new deal hasn’t made him soft.
