Real Madrid shows interest in yet another Bayern Munich player

Is this just a game to get a better contract, or is Bayern Munich in serious trouble?

Can’t they back off already? After losing David Alaba on a free transfer, Real Madrid is reportedly interested in yet another Bayern Munich player. And this time, again, the Bavarians are facing the threat of losing a player on a free transfer.

Manchester United was previously already interested in Leon Goretzka, and so was Barcelona. And now, according to Sport Bild (as captured by IBTimes), Real Madrid is interested in Leon Goretzka. His contract expires in 2022, and other clubs are starting to line up for the German midfielder.

Reportedly, Carlo Ancelotti is a huge fan of Goretzka and would like to see him in Real Madrid’s jersey.

Julian Nagelsmann recently said that he’s certain that Goretzka will sign a contract extension, but the reality is, that the negotiations are becoming more and more complicated. Hopefully, the two sides can find a middle ground and reach an agreement.

It’s no surprise that Goretzka is sought after, as his performances have improved immensely in the last year and a half, and thus, his price tag has gone up. No wonder many clubs want to snatch him for free next year.
