After an impressive preseason and a good start to the 2021/2022 campaign, Bayern Munich midfield prospect Taylor Booth is drawing interest from Burnley for a loan deal according to a report from ESPN:

Premier League side Burnley are interested in a loan deal for Bayern Munich and United States youth international Taylor Booth, sources have told ESPN. Booth, 20, recently made his first team debut for Bayern in a 12-0 win over Bremer SV in the DFB Pokal, and Bayern have been impressed with Booth’s play in preseason. However, with Booth’s contract expiring in 10 months, he could sign a pre-contract with another club in four months.

Sources told ESPN in July that Bayern was interested in extending his contract, but a deal hasn’t yet been completed. If the loan is finalized, Booth would bring some additional youth to a Burnley midfield leaning heavily on Jack Cork and Ashley Westwood, both of whom are over 30.

Booth, who has worked his way into discussions for the USMNT player pool, could be looking at the same scenario as Chris Richards. Per recent reports, Bayern Munich wants to extend Richards’ deal and then loan him out as well.
