Bayern Munich still wants FC Dallas prospect Justin Che

Could Bayern Munich be tapping the FC Dallas once again next summer?

Bayern Munich wants to bring FC Dallas defender Justin Che back to Germany — this time on a permanent basis.

Timing, however, is a problem. The 17-year-old spent a loan stint with Bayern Munich last season and both sides reportedly want a reunion. A move now will not work because FC Dallas wants to hang on to Che for the remainder of this MLS season. Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg provided some insight:

With a price tag of less than €5 million, Che could be a bargain. SPOX’s Kerry Hau added additional context:

According to information from SPOX and Goal , the record champions’ squad planners have contacted the Texans again in the past few days to check the prospects of an immediate transfer from Che. A final decision is still pending, but the tendency at the moment is still that the teenager will return to Munich in January at the earliest.

According to information from SPOX and Goal, the Texans, who are now better positioned in terms of personnel, would be weak if they offered the equivalent of two million euros.

The 17-year-old’s position is clear: he would agree to a return to the Isar at any time. “Justin went to Munich as a boy and came back as a man four months later,” says someone close to SPOX and Goal. “FC Bayern has a place in his heart.” There are even some personal items belonging to the player on campus. FCB is his first option.

That last part just left me thinking of one thing: The lyrics to Lola by The Kinks:

Well, I left home just a week before

And I’d never ever kissed a woman before

But Lola smiled and took me by the hand

And said “Dear boy, I’m gonna make you a man”

Anyway, we could see Che back in Germany come January and now I’ve got to get back to The Kinks...

I met her in a club down in old Soho

Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like coca cola

C-O-L-A, Cola
