Corentin Tolisso has had a torrid time with injuries in these past few seasons for Bayern Munich. The Frenchman has consequently spent much time on the bench and injury room and and has never been a Bayern Munich starting lineup regular since 2017/2018. Therefore, recently there have been rumours that Tolisso is looking for a move to another club where he can find regular game time. Now, apparently AS Roma could be the club to offer Tolisso that chance.
According to Calciomercato, via @imiasanmia, Jose Mourinho wants Tolisso in his squad:
Corentin Tolisso has been offered to AS Roma through an intermediary in the past few hours. José Mourinho is interested in having Tolisso in his squad, and Bayern are looking to sell for around €10m. The stumbling block is the player's wages (€7m), too high for Roma [@cmdotcom] pic.twitter.com/dOXM1r8PKu

Tolisso would be apparently free to buy for a meager €10 million, a far cry from the Bayern record fee that brought him to Munich in 2017. However, it is said that Tolisso’s hefty wages are a stumbling block in negotiations, with his lofty €7 million annual wages meaning Roma would have to sell Javior Pastore or Steven N’Zonzi for a transfer to occur.
Nevertheless, One thing that bodes well for this transfer is the fact that Bayern has signed Marcel Sabitzer. Sabitzer was long said to be only possible if other players, e.g. a Tolisso were sold. In addition, with the arrival of the Austrian, Tolisso will find minutes even harder to come by, simply put, he needs a move.
