According to L’Equipe (as capture by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is among the clubs considering a move for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.
The Bavarians, Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC, and FC Barcelona are all reportedly interested interested in Sanches. The report also stated that Sanches is “likely” to leave Lille this summer, but the club would not let him go for less than €35 million.
That — alleged — cost seems completely absurd for a player would not be a starter for Bayern Munich. More, think of how insane it would be for Bayern Munich to re-buy Sanches for €35 million after previously buying him for €35 million and subsequently selling him for €20 million.
Every significant player that Bayern Munich has been linked to (Sanches, Florian Neuhaus, Eduardo Camavinga) all seem to play a position (central midfield) that is not necessarily in need of a new starter at this point — and are all likely too expensive for Bayern Munich’s cost threshold.
