According to a report from Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk, the rumored move to Bayern Munich for Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Jonas Hofmann is off.
Falk did not say if the Hofmann deal going away had anything to do with the most recent news regarding RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer’s impending move to Bavaria, but — if correct — Hofmann will not be transferring:

Bayern Munich’s interest in Hofmann spiked last week after stories broke that both current coach Julian Nagelsmann and former boss Hansi Flick submitted requests to the Bayern Munich board for the player.
While Hofmann is known mostly for his versatility in being able to play both as a winger and central within the midfield, there was some speculation that Nagelsmann wanted the 29-year-old because he could shift to playing as a right wing-back.
That news left many to speculate whether or not Nagelsmann was going to begin occasionally using a back-three based system. At this point, though, it does not look like a move for Hofmann will take place for Bayern Munich.
