BPW Postgame Show: A look back at Bayern Munich’s glorious 5-0 victory over hapless Hertha Berlin

Bayern Munich hit Hertha Berlin with five goals, handing Julian Nagelsmann with his first statement victory.

Bayern Munich hit Hertha for five in a standout performance for Jamal Musiala, who deservedly received a standing ovation for an outstanding performance. Julian Nagelsmann seems to know what he is doing; his players connected very well. He also made some timely substitutions to give his players enough rest.

Robert Lewandowski bagged a hattrick; he manages to break his own records and make it seem easy. He is eerily consistent; I think Erling Haaland is still a level below Lewandowski (tsk tsk UEFA); Lewa is an intelligent player with years of experience under his belt. He is somehow still getting better.

There was rain in Munich, but, for one, Bayern did not let the weather get in their way.

Match Stats:

Goals: Bayern 5, Hertha 0
Possession: Bayern 63.4%, Hertha 36.4%
Total Shots: Bayern 16, Hertha 8
Shots on target: Bayern 6, Hertha 3
