Leadership requires the ability to make tough decisions.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn fully understands that concept and understands the massive responsibility that he has on his shoulders. Whether it is a transfer decision, a marketing plan, a coaching issue, or a business agreement, Kahn knows that every decision he makes will have incredible ramifications — and face even more incredible scrutiny.

“For me, this feeling of shouldering responsibility isn’t something new. That was already the case as a player, as a goalkeeper and captain, and, and after my playing career I quickly learned as an independent businessman what it means to have to make far-reaching or sometimes tough decisions,” said Kahn to the club website. “It’s important for me to work with a team, because you can’t possibly know or do everything yourself.”

Kahn is absolutely confident in his ability to lead Bayern Munich as a club. That trait that was so important for him in between the sticks for all of those years, is just as important in the board room.
