Brazzo and Julian Nagelsmann talk squad planning frequently at Bayern Munich

There seems to be an open line of communication at Bayern Munich these days.

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic and manager Julian Nagelsmann talk frequently about the club’s roster, but are not letting on what those plans might be.

“We talk about it a lot. It’s a difficult situation for everyone in football. We see what is going on and act in the interests of the club,” said Salihamidzic (as captured by Tz). “We have some injuries. We’ll see if our options are there in the last ten days. If something happens, we’ll be there. We have huge financial gaps, we missed the audience. It would be wrong to push now and keep talking about the transfer market. When the opportunity is there, we are there. If not, then not.”

Nagelsmann was not about to divulge what is being discussed over coffee or tea in the Bayern Munich board room.

“We’ll see what’s possible. If so, then we will announce it. If not, then we will work with those who are there,” Nagelsmann said.

When asked specifically about his former player Marcel Sabitzer, Nagelsmann would not bite.

“I’m not getting involved. We have enough to do. He’s not our player, so I don’t have to talk about him,” Nagelsmann said.

One thing Salihamidzic did cover was the contract negotiations for Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka, along with the rumors surrounding Robert Lewandowski.

“The final decision has not yet been made. We are in very good talks. The boys feel good, we hope that we can keep them in Munich. The fans want to see them, they are the pillars of our team,” Salihamidzic said. “I actually don’t read that much. We’ll be with Lewa this season and next, he has a contract with us. He’s an important leader and he showed that in the first two games. He’s amazing physically.”
