Bayern Munich officials react to Joshua Kimmich’s contract extension

The new contract will keep Kimmich at Bayern until 2025.

Bayern Munich have finally announced the contract extension of Joshua Kimmich and, like the midfielder himself on the pitch, the fans can’t keep calm. It took forever for the club to make the deal public but it is better late than never. The officials are extremely pleased about getting one of their best players to stay at the club for another four years.

The club president Herbert Hainer is delighted to keep the No.6 at Bayern and plans to win more trophies with him. Hainer said, “We’re happy to be going into the future with Joshua Kimmich. He’s developed into a top international player with us, and it’s important to us to keep players of this quality in our team for the long term. With him, FC Bayern have the best chances of achieving great and ambitious goals again in the future.”

Oliver Kahn, the club CEO, echoed Hainer’s delight in successfully completing Kimmich’s extension. He said, “Joshua totally identifies with FC Bayern. He’s recognised the value of playing long term at a club, being able to shape things and being a part of great success and an era. He knows he has the opportunity at FC Bayern to make all his ambitious goals a reality. The package we can offer him is hugely attractive for any top international player.”

Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić made it clear that Bayern will always prioritize keeping their best players at the club. He envisions the midfielder growing and achieving more in the future and wants him to do it at Bayern.

Salihamidzic said, “With this contract extension, FC Bayern is sending a strong signal, both internally and externally. We want our best players on long-term contracts. Joshua Kimmich will develop his enormous qualities as a leading player at FC Bayern in the coming years and make history. His is a world-class footballer with a tremendous mentality, offering everything both as a professional and a person that always characterises FC Bayern.”
