It appears that it is not only Hermann Gerland and the German national team interested in Karim Adeyemi, but that Bayern Munich are now eyeing the young Bavarian.
With talk of Robert Lewandowski leaving the team in the next couple of years, management must now turn their minds to a replacement for the number nine position. New reports say one of the options they are looking at is current Salzburg striker Adeyemi, who just happens to be a native son of Munich.
As we recently discussed, Adeyemi has made the number nine position at Red Bull’s Austrian outlet his own and is on a torrid scoring pace at the moment. This has drawn the attention of die Mannschaft, Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona and other big name clubs. You can now add Bayern Munich’s name to the list of clubs apparently in pursuit of the young man’s services. Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that Bayern are now interested in the player.
It seems he is planning to move away from Salzburg to a bigger club by next summer at the latest. Considering that both Erling Haaland and Dominik Szoboszlai left that club in the middle of the year it is entirely possible that Adeyemi could be on the move as early as January.
