Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is started to get a feel for what he really has on his roster.
At today’s training, Niklas Süle returned from his back injury, while Joshua Kimmich, Manuel Neuer, and Thomas Müller made their first official appearances. Aside of injured stars Lucas Hernandez and Alphonso Davies, the only other players who missed the session were Kingsley Coman (bruised rib), Corentin Tolisso (COVID-19), and Joshua Zirkzee:
Die letzten drei Nationalspieler sind zurück im @FCBayern-Training: @Manuel_Neuer @esmuellert_ und @JoshuaKimmich! Ebenfalls wieder dabei nach Rücken-Blockade: Niklas #Süle. Kingsley #Coman (Rippenprellung) und Joshua #Zirkzee sind nicht dabei! #FCB pic.twitter.com/OQ1rsDM1hn

The last three national players are back in @FCBayern-Training: @Manuel_Neuer @esmuellert_ and @JoshuaKimmich! Also there again after a back blockage: Niklas #Süle. Kingsley #Coman (Bruised rib) and Joshua #Zirkzee are not included! #FCB
Zirkzee, of course, is likely being held out because he appears close to a move to Anderlecht, while Coman picked up his knock early in the friendly against Napoli.
Süle, meanwhile, looks to be moving past the scare he gave everyone last week when he left a training session early with back pain.
Kimmich, Neuer, and Müller also made their first formal appearances after taking their respective medical exams yesterday. Müller got in some individual work last week before sitting out with some lingering soreness.
In other news, Leon Goretzka suffered a minor knock during a collision with Benjamin Pavard, but appeared to shake it off and finish his session:
Leon Goretzka took a knock to his knee following an aerial duel with Pavard in today's training. Goretzka was in pain, held his left knee and received treatment.
