Reports have surfaced Wednesday linking German international, Thilo Kehrer, with Bayern Munich — this according to L’Equipe (paywall) as reported by Twitter site @iMiaSanMia. According to these reports, Kehrer’s representatives met with FC Bayern last Friday before the match against Borussia Monchengladbach. Both Oliver Kahn and Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić are interested in the center-back. Sources say that Bayern is willing to offer €12 million to Paris Saint-Germain for Kehrer.

Shortly after breaking this news, another tweet came from @iMiaSanMia stating that Bayern have agreed to a three-year deal with Kehrer’s representatives. If true this would mean that Bayern would just have to work out the transfer fee with PSG.

This move would bring Kehrer back to Germany where his career begin. After playing for a few academies in Southwestern Germany, Kehrer broke into the senior team with VfB Stuttgart before transferring to Schalke 04. The 24 year-old has nine caps for Germany, but has recently been left off the squad. Perhaps a spell in Munich will allow him to catch Hansi Flick’s eye.
