Christopher Scott gave Bayern Munich II the 1-0 halftime lead, but they were unable to hold on for a point as Schalding-Heining scored at the death to take all three points. It’s the first loss of the season for Bayern II.
Match Highlights
Scott gave Bayern II the 1-0 lead just before halftime when he leapt above everyone and headed home a cross from David Herold. Schalding-Heining would score twice in the second half, however. Markus Gallmeier scored on a header in the 72nd minute, and Alexander Mankowski scored in the final minute of the match finishing a cross at the far post to deny any points to Bayern II.

Squad
The match featured the Bayern II debut this season for Malik Tillman and Taylor Booth. Both spent the preseason training with the first team. The match was also the starting debut for Herold, who made his full debut in the most recent match against Pipinsried.
Bayern XI: Schneller - Welzmüller (60. Aydin), Feldhahn, Lawrence, Herold - Booth, Scott, Tillman - Batista-Meier (75. Jastremski), Sieb, Motika (60. Vidović)
Johannes Schenk, Jahn Herrmann, Marvin Cuni, Lucas Copado, Leon Fust, Moritz Mosandl, Rémy Vita, and Timo Kern were all missing due to injury.
The return of Tillman and Booth is just the latest wrinkle thrown at head coach Martin Demichelis with regards to roster decisions. It’s suspected that they are the final players to return to Bayern II this summer (At this point, it definitely feels that Josip Stanisic will be a first team regular.); however, that doesn’t mean that some of these players won’t be leaving the club on loan this summer.
Table and Next Match
Despite the loss, Bayern II are still in first place in the league. They have a one point lead over SpVgg Bayreuth; however, Bayern II have played one extra game.
Bayern II will be back in action this Friday with a match at Grünwalder Stadion against Unterhaching. Former Bayern (and Bayern II) player Sandro Wagner is their coach. Unterhaching are currently fourth in the table.
