When looking at Bayern Munich’s ongoing negotiations with several key players, German legend Lothar Matthäus thinks it is plainly obvious who the Bavarians should be prioritizing.
“I would spend whatever I can for Kimmich and Goretzka. At Coman there is already the option in the squad to replace him 1: 1. He only does 53 percent of the games. These are arguments that speak against this mark of 20 million for him,” Matthäus recently told Sport Bild. “Süle has had a bad season that didn’t play an important role in the European Championship. He’s certainly not asking for 20 million euros, but he should perform before he makes any claims. If anyone can do it, it will be Julian Nagelsmann. I like Süle as a person and Coman’s style of play. But both are more replaceable than Goretzka and Kimmich.”
It will be interesting to see if Bayern Munich actually has to make this choice or if they can find a way to keep all four players happy.
