Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is one of the brightest young minds in the game.
At 34-years-old, Nagelsmann is not much old than most of players — and is even younger than Manuel Neuer! Still, the new boss is not worried about having to command respect from this group.
“They are outstanding players that you enjoy working with. It is different to work with them every day in training. They are very pleasant people,” Nagelsmann told Tz. “We have a lively exchange, which is very fruitful. That’s why they have won so many titles for years. Standing still means going backwards; the players always want to go further and are hungry. “
Nagelsmann’s mind could be at ease if some of his current players find their form this season. One player in particular that could really help Nagelsmann’s cause is Leroy Sane.
“He expects a lot of his own accord and wants to become an important player, that’s the way to go. He is a lovely person with whom you can talk a lot,” Nagelsmann said of Sane. “He has a mega talent and strengths in one-on-one, which he has to bring to the field. He can play a major role. We all have to leave him alone a bit and give him the chance to accelerate.”
