Well, this won’t help quell the speculation that RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is positioning himself for a move to Bayern Munich.
Sabitzer, one of the most versatile and top overall midfielders in the world, is on the bench to start for Die Roten Bullen against Mainz 05 today in the team’s Bundesliga opener.
Over the last three weeks there has been rampant speculation that Sabitzer has been working to secure a deal to Bayern Munich. The most recent news even indicates that Sabitzer and the Bavarians have agreed to personal terms:

The big hold-up for a move is that Bayern Munich does not have the necessary €18 million to €20 million to make the transfer work financially for both clubs.
Despite that insanely low price for such a talented player, Bayern Munich is still waffling on putting together a proper proposal for the Austria international. There is still plenty of time for that to happen, but the Bavarians are probably going to have to sell a few players before that can be worked out.
