According to Bild, there was some interesting news from today’s training session at Bayern Munich.

One day after Alphonso Davies and Kingsley Coman re-appeared, Corentin Tolisso returned to team training after doing a few individual sessions to get his wind back after battling a positive test for COVID-19. The Bayern Munich club website issued this note on Tolisso’s formal return to team training:

Three days before the Bundesliga opening game at Borussia Mönchengladbach was allowed Julian Nagelsmann welcome the next returnee in team training! Corentin Tolisso graduated on Tuesday for the first time after his domestic isolation due to a positive corona test, parts of the unit with the FC Bayern team again. The 27-year-old midfielder then continued his individual development program.

Lucas Hernandez continued his individual training and Marc Roca was not seen — which is to be expected give the nature of his injury.

The news, however, was not so great for back-up striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. The former Mainz 05 and Paris Saint-Germain man was not sees at training:

.@CorentinTolisso is back in team training after its corona quarantine! But Eric Maxim #Choupo-Moting is missing. @LucasHernandez does rehab in the next place. Otherwise just missing @marcroca21 (Torn ligament). @FCBayern #FCB

Choupo-Moting’s ailment has been revealed to be with his back:

If — a big if — Choupo-Moting’s injury keeps him out of action for a spell, it would be interesting to view how Julian Nagelsmann would bolster the ranks behind Robert Lewandowski. Would it be Thomas Müller, Serge Gnabry, or maybe even a youngster like Lucas Copado?

Many Bayern Munich fans are likely hoping they do not have to find out!
