Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn is having quite a busy first few official weeks on the job.

In the midst of contract negotiations with several current players, Kahn’s club is now embroiled in transfer rumors after being linked with RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer. For good measure, club legend Franck Ribery has also indicated that he might like to return to Bavaria.

Sensing a needs to address the issues, Kahn offered up some thoughts to Abendzeitung reporter Maximilian Koch:

#Kahn about #Sabitzer : “There are always many names traded, I don’t want to comment on that.” About #Ribery : “I always had a lot of fun with Franck, nice conversations, but we’re not thinking about a commitment from him now.” #FCBayern

While Kahn — and the club — might not be thinking about it, Ribery apparently is, per this Instagram reply he gave to Lothar Matthäus:

That reply generated a tweet from Sport Bild’s Christian Falk as well:

You could do a lot worse than Ribery as a fourth winger, but it seems that ship might have sailed for Kahn.
