Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has been referred to as a brilliant, innovative, and a number of other complimentary adjectives.
Hold your horses, though, before you go showering the man with praise. First, you MUST hear his opinions on food.
In an Instagram Q&A session, Nagelsmann “outed himself” (Abendzeitung’s words...not mine) as a lover of meatloaf, Hawaiian Pizza, and Hefeweizen (over Pilsner).
Now...before you start going to grab your pitchforks and torches to chase the guy out of town, let’s give him a chance...or should you?
Nagelsmann is also an inconsistent sausage-eater, who dabbles in different methods of dining on one of Germany’s signature dishes.
When eating white sausage, which is traditional in Bavaria, he has different techniques, sometimes cutting, then peeling, then slicing in the middle and separating or zoning in two. “I do a relatively large amount, depending on the gusto of my counterpart. If he has a certain idea of how I should eat it, I can adapt,” Nagelsmann said.
Some of you will now call him a sadist, but we at Bavarian Football Works ask you to reserve judgement. Maybe Hawaiian Pizza is good...and who doesn’t like a good meatloaf?
