It’s another win for Bayern II, this time against VfB Eichstätt.

Bayern Munich II beat VfB Eichstätt 6-3 on Friday to remain perfect with four wins in four matches to start the 2021/22 Regionalliga Bayern season. The three points move Bayern II clear at the top of the table.

It was a quick start for Bayern II, with Gabriel Vidovic (8th minute) scoring one and smacking a shot off the post in the 12th minute which Nemanja Motika finished the rebound. Emilian Metu put Bayern II up 3-0 in the 25th minute with a left footed curler to the far post.

Eichstätt managed to pull one back, but Justin Janitzek and Motika would make it 5-1 in favor of Bayern II heading into halftime. The visitors grabbed two second half goals to make it 5-3, but Oliver Batista Meier slammed the door shut in the 83rd minute with a superb individual effort.

Jakob Mayer is going to want to burn the game tape after this one. The young goalkeeper was completely lost on the second and third goals from Eichstätt, as he came for the free kicks and missed both times. It would be surprising to see him loaned out again before the transfer window ends as the squad shuffling ends and other players return from injuries.

Speaking of loans, it was announced on Friday that fullback Jonas Kehl was being loaned to SSV Ulm for the season. He played for Ulm last season in the Regionalliga Südwest.

Bayern XI: Mayer - Mosandl, Feldhahn, Janitzek, Brückner (90.+2 Marušić) - Aydin (59. Wenig), Metu (69. Denk), Vidović (59. Salihamidžić) - Batista-Meier, Kabadayi, Motika (80. Mamedova)

Bayern II are back at it next week with two matches, and both of them are away from home. The first match is Tuesday, August 3 against FC Memmingen. Then, next Saturday, Bayern II visit FV Illertissen.
