Per a new report from Bild, Thomas Muller and the rest of Bayern Munich’s Germany contingent from Euro 2020 will resume full team training starting on Monday of next week. This, of course, will exclude Bayern’s injured players; Lucas Hernandez, Alphonso Davies, and Marc Roca.

Most of Bayern’s Euro 2020 stars have already returned from their post-Euros holidays, but they have just been working individually, or in small group sessions. Serge Gnabry is the exception as he had already logged full team sessions before playing 30 minutes in Bayern’s 2-0 friendly loss to Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday. Gnabry created multiple chances after coming on as a sub in the 60th minutes when Nagelsmann changed all of his outfield players, but Bayern was never able to find the back of the net, unfortunately.

Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich will be the latest editions to resume action at Sabener Strasse and will be involved in full team training next week. Neuer spent a great deal of his time off hiking through Bavarian mountains and gracing social media with his stylish, vacation-mode outfits.

In typical Joshua Kimmich fashion, Bayern’s number 6 was adamant the he did not want to take an extended break after his excursions with Die Mannschaft at the Euros, but Julian Nagelsmann insisted that he take the time off. He wanted all of his players to be as well rested as possible after what’s been an insanely packed schedule of both club and international football as a result of the two-month coronavirus break last year.

Bayern has one more friendly against SSC Napoli this weekend before their competitive program starts next week against Bremer SV in the DFB-Pokal first round. A week later, they have the Bundesliga opener at the Allianz Arena vs. ‘Gladbach. Given that they have yet to be involved in full team training yet, it’s unlikely that Lewandowski, Leroy Sane, Muller, Neuer, Kimmich, Niklas Sule, Leon Goretzka, and Benjamin Pavard would be involved against Napoli. Adding to that, Corentin Tolisso had recently tested positive for coronavirus and is in isolation for the time being.
