According to a report from kicker (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is willing to let Oliver Batista Meier leave the club.
Batista Meier is caught up in a numbers crunch at Säbener Straße as the Bavarians have a bevy of young wingers on the first-team roster and on campus. After a tough loan stint with Heerenveen last season, the 20-year-old might have too many players to leap over to achieve his goal of making the first team in Munich.
Batista Meier reportedly almost made a move to Jahn Regensburg, but things fell apart earlier this summer. Per kicker, Bayern Munich will not prevent the player from leaving the club if he can find a suitable next chapter for his career.
The youth campus is evolving at Bayern Munich and several players, who looked like shoo-ins for a future with the first team have now moved on — or are on the verge of leaving the club.
