Julian Nagelsmann has earned raved reviews in his first few weeks at the helm of Bayern Munich, but the new boss has received special kudos for his work with younger players.

According to Sport Bild, Nagelsmann has earned praise for helping Armindo Sieb, Lucas Copado, and Arijon Ibrahimovic make progress in their development:

In his first weeks as a Bayern coach, Nagelsmann was noticed as a youth sponsor. However, he had no other choice either, the squad was so small. Nevertheless, it was remarkable how he worked with talents such as Armindo Sieb (18), Lucas Copado (17) or Arijon Ibrahimovic (15).

Flick’s successor Nagelsmann knows how difficult it is to make the leap into Bavaria’s star squad. The longing for the new Lahms, Schweinsteigers, or Alabas is great among the bosses, and Nagelsmann’s task is to shape them.

And even if the young stars do not make the leap to the professionals permanently, they should be used to generate transfer revenues.

The trick for Nagelsmann, indeed, will be to continue keeping tabs on his potential stars when most of his focus will be on the senior team.
