Bayern Munich II remain perfect in the Regionalliga Bayern this season following a 6-2 drubbing of newly-promoted SC Eltersdorf. Bayern II have now won their first three games to start the season.
Oliver Batista-Meier grabbed his second goal of the young season with a fantastic free kick for Bayern II’s first goal of the match. Yusuf Kabadayi scored on either side of halftime to give Bayern a 3-2 lead, and Marcel Wenig made it 4-2 in the 73rd minute. Both Kabadayi and Wenig scored their first ever goals for Bayern II. Late in the match with Bayern II cruising, Nemanja Motika scored back-to-back goals late to make the result and emphatic 6-2.
“We weren’t good in the first half and we made too many mistakes. After that, we stayed patient and came back into the game with simple lateral shifts,” Martin Demichelis said after the match. “In the second round we showed what we are currently capable of.”
