Bayern Munich fans — and Bundesliga viewers overall — are going to have a bit of a different look on-screen this season.
The league has updated its graphics package per Footy Headlines and things will certainly not be the same as it ever was:
The entire Bundesliga 2021-22 broadcast package has undergone a big change, introducing not just a unique new scoreboard but also new replay transitions.
The concept behind the updated visuals was explained in a two-minute video. The large ‘scorecards’, which are quite different from the previous design that was more in line with what we see around the various leagues, are inspired by classic stadium scores, which can be seen at the start of the video.

The new look seems clean, but does take up a little more vertical screen space. It still does not — from this view — appear to obtrusive, so that is a good thing.
