Falk kills Werner-to-Bayern rumor (Christian Falk via @iMiaSanMia)
Sport Bild’s Christian Falk killed off the recent rumors linking Chelsea FC forward Timo Werner to Bayern Munich.
When the news initially broke from Football Insider, many tied Werner’s relationship with Julian Nagelsmann as a potential reason that a Werner-to-Bayern Munich move could go down. Falk retweeted a post from Twitter account @iMiaSanMia, which credited the Sport Bild journalist with saying there was “no truth” to the recent report:

Milan scoping Brandt? (Sky)
AC Milan looks like it might have its eyes on Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt:
Apparently there could be movement in the personality of Julian Brandt. The AC Milan should feel for the professional from Borussia Dortmund are interested in. The Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the midfielder should be very popular with the Rossoneri. According to the report, the Italians would like to borrow Brandt for a year. For this, five million euros are said to be due. A purchase option should also be agreed. This should be at 22 million euros, so that a possible deal would flush the BVB 27 million euros into the coffers.
It has been a tough year for the versatile and talented Brandt. After an up-and-down campaign with BVB, Brandt was left off Germany’s European Championships squad. Clearly in need of career boost, it will be interesting to see if he moves on from the Bundesliga.

LFC not ready to up the ante any more for Chiesa (Sky)
Liverpool — allegedly — had a nine-figure bid to Juventus for Federico Chiesa rejected and the club’s appetite to bid any more just is not there:
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s interest in Federico Chiesa is unlikely to go any further. Juventus forward Chiesa is currently too expensive and therefore not an option for them.
Liverpool’s current stance regarding this transfer window is that they are not buying because they feel that, with the market and availability as it is at the moment - allied with who they already have - it means they don’t need to.
Griezmann looking at Juve move (ESPN)
FC Barcelona outcast Antoine Griezmann is thinking about a move to Juventus:
Antoine Griezmann’s future could be more clear with reports suggesting that the France international has told Barcelona he would like to join Juventus. That’s according to Calciomercato, who say that the Serie A club have already contacted the 30-year-old over a potential move. The Blaugrana have been active in looking to offload Griezmann this summer as the club try to make space on the wage bill for the renewal of Lionel Messi’s contract.
