Despite having five days left on his vacation, Thomas Muller has been spotted training at the Sabener Strasse ahead of the return of Bayern Munich’s international contingent. The 32-year-old German international has apparently decided to cut his leave short to get back in shape and join his new coach as soon as possible. He was seen doing running and individual training on the pitch.
Bayern Munich played a really long campaign last year, and given that he played every game for Germany at the Euros too, Muller would be perfectly justified in keeping his feet up for a few days longer. The player even suffered a knee injury at the tournament, but soldiered on for the sake of his team.
However, even at his age, Muller still seems hungry for success, and apparently wants to be as fit as possible for the start of the season under Julian Nagelsmann.
Here’s the video of him training, as captured by Bild:

As one of the senior players on the team, Muller’s dedication will surely send a message to the rest of the squad, especially some of the youngster players. With less than three weeks left to go before Bayern kick off their Bundesliga campaign against Borussia Monchengladbach, coach Julian Nagelsmann will appreciate getting his first teamers back into training for preseason. Preparations for the new season can finally begin in earnest.
