Bayern Munich signee Omar Richards was thrown right into the fire over the past two weekends as he started against both 1. FC Köln and Ajax.
The former Reading FC prospect has been working his way up and down the left-flank thus far, starting as a left-back against the Billy Goats and playing further up the pitch against Erik ten Hag’s squad.
For Richards, the experience has been top notch in Germany.
“Since I’ve been at the club, everybody has been good to me. I got along well with my teammates, I’ve built good connections and am still working on it. I feel like the connections we made off the field are gonna help on the field, so that’s good,” Richards said (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia).
Richards was especially happy to have played at the Allianz Arena over the weekend.
“It’s amazing. I’m very happy to be able to play here for the first time. I feel like I had a pretty good game and I loved every minute of being out here. It was a good first appearance here and hopefully many more,” Richards said.
