There are few better ways for a player to start a season than scoring a goal in your debut with a new club. Bayern Munich loanee Sarpreet Singh wanted to make an impression, and he put on a show. The midfielder struggled to get on the field last season, and it appears that he’s determined to make everyone forget about that.
Singh grabbed a goal and Man of the Match honors in his Jahn Regensburg debut to help them beat Darmstadt 2-0. The New Zealand midfielder had a great all around day for Regensburg with 3 shots, 4 key passes, and 3 dribbles (WhoScored).
It’s only one game, but Singh getting the start and basically going the distance (he was subbed out in stoppage time) is a big improvement over last season with Nürnberg. He was really good out there today, and hopefully it’s something he can continue to show in the games ahead.
