David Alaba and Franck Ribery were very good friends on and off the pitch during their playing time in Bayern Munich. The chemistry they had was unique, and they combined wonderfully on the left flank back in the day.
Now, both players have gone their separate ways — Franck Ribery played for Fiorentina, and is now a free agent, while David Alaba left Bayern Munich on a free transfer and joined Real Madrid.
The two obviously remained friends and kept in touch after Ribery left Munich, and now they have reunited again and are training together in Munich.
According to AZ’s sources, two former teammates are training together for the upcoming season with coach Matthias Blankenburg, as both players shared their time together on social media.
Alaba will soon start his new adventure in Real Madrid and should be officially presented tomorrow as Madrid’s new player. On the other hand, the 38-year-old Ribery wasn’t offered a contract extension at Fiorentina but is still looking for a new club. After his football career ends, he expressed his desire of returning to Bayern Munich.
