Bayern Munich have signed Nico Feldhahn to a one-year contract extension keeping the Bayern II captain at Säbener Strasse. The veteran who turns 35-years-old in August will play his seventh season with Bayern II.
“As a footballer, but also as a personality, Nico is very important to our U-23s both on and off the pitch,” Campus Director Jochen Sauer said. “We are therefore very happy that he will stay with us for another season after his relegation.”
Feldhahn has been a stable presence for Bayern II over the last several years. It’s got to be a weird situation when he’s sometimes sharing the field with eight players or more all 12-17 years younger than him. While Feldhahn isn’t as good as he was a few years ago, he’s still an on-field leader who can help guide this team for the next year.

“We had our first talks in the weeks before relegation, but I wouldn’t have wanted to stop like that either,” Feldhahn said. “I would like to help that we write positive headlines again after last season and I am extremely happy to be able to continue wearing the Bayern shirt.”
I feel like this is something that we’ve said here over the last year or two, it wouldn’t be completely surprising to see Feldhahn on the sidelines for a Bayern youth team in the near future.
