Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich was devastated by Germany’s loss to England at the European Championship.
In a message to fans that he posted on Instagram, Kimmich explained the disappointment he felt, the belief he had in the squad, and why playing for Germany is always an honor he will cherish:
The disappointment is deep and it is really difficult for me to process the whole thing.
I believed 100 percent at all times that we could win the tournament and I am very sad that we couldn’t make you and all of us proud.
It was a great opportunity that we unfortunately couldn’t take advantage of and yet I’m sure we will be back.
Thank you very much for your support. It was an overwhelming feeling to finally play in front of you guys again!
And many thanks to our coach Jogi Löw. The era he has shaped remains unforgotten.
I am grateful for the trust he had in me all these years. It’s an honor every time to be able to play for our country. #thedreamstays

Kimmich should have probably just quoted the Terminator and written, “I’ll be back” as well because we all know he now will be on a mission for the national team.
