After a failed loan stint with FC Nürnberg, Sarpreet Singh came back to Bayern Munich looking to get himself back on track.

After an up-and-down stint with Bayern Munich II in the second half of last season, the 22-year-old New Zealander is now off to Jahn Regensburg for another loan assignment. Even with spending another year away from Säbener Straße, Singh still hopes to one day play for Bayern Munich’s senior team.

“Never say never. It’s a big goal and a dream. I was close and played two Bundesliga games,” Singh told kicker (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “Only (a person) who sets big goals, can achieve them. Now I’m looking forward to the season with Regensburg.”

Singh is facing a crucial season at Jahn Regensburg. With his contract set to expire in 2022, Singh will need to show Bayern Munich his value with an impressive performance while on loan.
