Former Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes knows that Hansi Flick is a master of communication and building relationships. Because of that, the 2013 treble-winner is expecting the 2020/2021 sextuple-winner to create a new collaborative atmosphere with the German national team.
“Hansi has to improve the communication and the human side within the team, as he did at Bayern. The team needs renewing, they need young and talented players. They should go the same way as Italy,” Heynckes said to kicker (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia).
When looking to the future, Heynckes thinks that Germany has some outstanding young players to help Flick pave the way to future success.
“(Kai) Havertz, (Florian) Wirtz, (Jamal) Musiala, (Ridle) Baku. There are also several interesting youngsters in the U-21 team that won the Euros in June,” Heynckes said.
Heynckes, who was no slouch at communication, building relationships, and identifying talent himself, knows the impact Flick can make and with some young talent to infuse into the squad, things could start looking up soon with Die Mannschaft.
